Georgia

Georgia is situated in east Europe and west Asia with a population of some 5 million people and a capital at Tbilisi. Georgia is bordered by Armenia, Azerbaijan, Russia and Turkey with a coastline to the Black Sea.

Georgia was occupied by the Soviet Union in 1921 and achieved independence in 1991.

Tourism is a large part of the economy of Georgia with over a hundred resorts offering anything from beach to skiing holidays.
